Bitter Orange for weight loss

Bitter orange or Seville orange has been used in traditional Chinese medicine and today it is used mainly as a weight loss product. Bitter orange also can improve physical fitness and increase lean muscle mass.

This herb will decrease the appetite, thus food consumption will be lower causing to lose weight.

Bitter orange also stimulates weight loss by enhancing thermogenesis (burning fat); it builds lean muscle, and it increases physical performance by making fat available for energy.

Research has shows that bitter orange increase the rate of lipolysis, and it also increase metabolic rate of thermogenesis which burns calories.

However, bitter orange can cause a range of potentially serious health problem.

They can cause heart problems (irregular heart rate, attacks & stroke), high blood pressure, insomnia and may sometime lead to death. Its long term effect is still being studied.
