Health benefits of cayenne pepper

This is commonly known as hot pepper or chili pepper. This herb is mostly used today not only for medicinal purposes but for weight loss as well. Cayenne pepper is a hot and spicy and is an excellent source of vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin K, manganese and dietary fiber.

It is one of the best culinary spices that can favorably influence circulatory health. This herb helps to strengthen the blood and the internal organs, improves blood flow and stimulates all the system of the body, from the brain to the digestive system.

One quarter teaspoonful of fresh cayenne powder (repeat everyday) with a bit of juice or plain water will stimulate and help strengthen bowels, cleaning them out and making them strong again.

Sweating and a rush of adrenalin are some of the effect of this herb. Always be careful when taking this herb because excessive use can cause intestinal tract irritation.

A number of scientific studies have found that cayenne pepper lowers –clogging cholesterol and triglycerides. This is because cayenne contains compounds that have fibrinolytic activity, meaning that they are able to break up blood clots.

The hotness produced by cayenne is caused by the high concentration of a substance called capsaicin, technically referred to as 8-methyul-N-vanillyl-6-nonenamide, gives cayenne pepper its hot taste.
